Nicola Botta : my designs are often motivated by nature and in particular by aspects or elements of rare and exceptional beauty .Frank Scott: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?. Nicola Botta : the aim is to visually recreate the emotion that is aroused by nature .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. Nicola Botta : to increase my standing as a designer and to use the award for publicity in my shop and at international fairs that I take part in .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Nicola Botta : I followed my inspiration .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Nicola Botta : I produced this piece to be sold through jewellery outlets or directly to the customer .Frank Scott: Who is the target customer for his design?. Nicola Botta : the piece is aimed at a target audience of consumers who want fine jewellery in a limited edition .Frank Scott: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?. Nicola Botta : the name derives from the Big Bang theory from which the universe was created .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Nicola Botta : unique aspects of this project are: visual emotion, attention to detail and the uniqueness of the project .Frank Scott: What is the role of technology in this particular design?. Nicola Botta : designed by CAD, prototyped, assembled and finished by hand .Frank Scott: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?. Nicola Botta : designing the ring on three levels .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?. Nicola Botta : being a valued and unique item I thought it deserved to be part of an international design award .
