Inspired by Becton Dickinson's "BD" consolidation exercise of key business units into one single floorplate, designers knew they wanted to enable a blended community space, for the various tribes of BD to come together, unite and promote cohesions with one common language. This common language was articulated with a strong design language that formed the narrative for the different experiential journeys within the space.
Continue readingPingshan Cultural Cluster - Book Mall, taking the local Hakka enclosed house culture as the design concept and the pattern of round outside but square inside as the main feature, has its space divided into "Square" and "Round" zones. The square zone is oriented to young people, the overall layout of which expands around the central activity area. Inspired by "Diaolou" (tower building), we adopt the highly structured facade of Diaolou to create characteristic walls for the atrium. The use of mirror finish ceiling makes the image extend infinitely, activating the memory to the whole space.

The restaurant has a dry-aging room made from Himalayan rock salt, an open food storage area, and a professional wine cellar for an intuitive view and selection of ingredients. Also, an open kitchen allows guests to enjoy the display of different cooking techniques, creating a healthy atmosphere of mutual trust, and creating a multi-functional dining space where people's feelings and the space style are fully expressed.

Ancient Chinese scholars' stories that ever happened along the riverside are translated into decoration elements via modern design approaches so that the glamour of history collides yet mixes with today's fashion and vitality in the space. In this way, a unique living experience with a taste of both elegance and vogue is delivered to guests to redefine top-class luxurious and trendy lifestyle.
Continue readingFor its first created office since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the challenge Matsuo Gakuin was facing is to find a solution for protecting its office users while keeping the aesthetic values the company has always cherished. A thunder shaped table runs along the office dividing the space into staff and guest areas. Glass panels were sandwiched between the board and its duplicate hanging from the ceiling. The glass panels run alternatively through two parallel lines separated by 20cm space. This disposition forms a protective shield while allowing air and documents circulation.

J and A put the unique natural landscape integrate into interior design. It expresses the essence of modern decorate design by the minimalism approach, and create a land of silence which is full of modern artistic.
