Shang He Galley is a multi functional sales center tailored for Landsea Kaifeng Bianjing Xihuafu project by XY + Z. In addition to XY + Z's consistent green and humanistic design concept, the designer unfold Bianjing's amazing prosperity described in the masterpiece "Qingming Shanghe Tu" (Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival) in an artistic way that makes the world marvel again.
Continue readingTo follow the customer group's lifestyle and functional requirements, this project aims to seek delicacy and conciseness in color layout and accessory selection. The designer extracted elements like coast, spindrift and ripple from the concept of "deep sea", and extended them into irregular shapes. Hence, various space organizations are presented with prospective design. Moreover, the modern aesthetic attitude of installation in the East is expressed properly through extended rhythm and hierarchical cooperation between the installation forms.
Continue readingTo apply the sun light and curves of flowing water into the interior design as contemporary aesthetic language the team used large scale French window to surround this space for full cover of natural lighting during daytime and sense of bondless among the outdoor garden area and space inside. For the same purpose, the designer used furniture settings with lower figures, simple outline and calm colors, curvy walls as well as our original stainless-steel art installations shaped like water drop and wavy lake surface to express the beauty of nature in traditional C.
Continue readingThe sales center featured the "Aurora" design concept in the space, highlighting the canal cultural heritage of Xuzhou. The space design is an extension of the architectural design featured the shape of canal. The ever-changing beauty of the aurora is just a moment, but it implies eternity in spiritual level. The rive of the canal is featured in space in the form of light. The whole project embodies a rich structural order, where the modern simple form is integrated with the architecture.
Continue readingWhen intervening in a space such as this apartment, the architect must know how to omit, refurbish and integrate. The apartment occupies what was the social floor of a previous Hotel Particulier. Now, set to be the home of a family, it required some restructuring. The refurbishment was to be respectful of its 17th Century heritage and discreet. The interior design project demanded clean lines and shapes and the use of raw materials. For the decoration, however, a careful selection of 21st Century furniture pieces was added to allow for an harmonious combination of the best of both times.

Inspired by the white cube space of galleries, the interior design is intended to be simple and minimal, which allows guests to focus on the artworks exhibited throughout the hotel. The façade, interior, and furniture were designed in close collaboration with artists, which convert the space itself into a piece of art.
