Reflection to the bathrooms of Lotus Flowers… Lotus bathroom has been implemented by taking inspiration from the shape of the Lotus flower’s leaves Zhou Dunyi who teaches Confucius’s philosophy said "I like the Lotus flower since it grows in the mud and never gets dirty," in his discourse. Continue readingThis project was to convert "Machiya", a Japanese traditional wooden townhouse, in the centre of Kyoto, into a small shop. The original wooden frames were reinforced with steel frames because the original building was dilapidated. I focused on the way accommodating necessary functions of a beauty cosmetic shop within the space limitations of the original "Machiya".
