Masa

Masa is a beauty club interior located in Shanghai. The lobby artwork is inspired by a poem on the four seasons of life by the British poet Keats. Handmade brass artwork casts the shadows of English letters naming the four seasons through natural light, so the stages of life are compared to the changing seasons. The main area is finished in white Corian, with brass lines on the floor and a curved ceiling wall. Terrazzo and wood complete the material palette. Partitions organize the space, while soft fabric armchairs and an atomizing fireplace create a relaxed atmosphere.

Lakeside Mansion Villa

Lakeside Mansion Villa is a residential interior design in a modern Oriental style. The home covers 800 square meters. Materials include terrazzo, stainless steel, rock slabs and wooden siding, chosen so that changes in texture express a calm Eastern character. In the living room, curved wooden strips line the wall. In-line track lights wash the strips and create irregular patterns of light and shadow that recall a bamboo forest. The design draws on memories of bamboo groves in southern China. The intent is to bring a slow and quiet rhythm to the space.

After School

After School is a shared interior space created for children during after-school hours. The open plan has no partitions, which increases the area available for activities. A treehouse-like ceiling adds the atmosphere of a secret site. Large curtain glass windows bring the outdoor greenery inside, and a reading zone is placed in front of the windows. Changes in floor level define the different areas and form a bookcase. Transparent and reflective materials help avoid dangerous corners. The space supports courses such as cooking, pottery, picture book reading and painting.

Mini Galaxy

Mini Galaxy is a Japanese restaurant interior designed around the illusion of a vaulted ceiling. A large central beam divides the ceiling into sections, and the alternating heights create a layered look that balances vertical and horizontal lines. The vertical lines of the pendant lights are complemented by a ring shaped grille, which forms the visual centerpiece and creates a play of light and shadow recalling a starry sky. Natural wood is combined with concrete. A double layered transparent facade frames a planted seating area and supports energy saving.
